Essex Police reported that the event occurred in Howard Close, Waltham Abbey, at approximately 15:30 GMT on Sunday. The injured person was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries. He remained hospitalized as of Tuesday. After being questioned, a 54-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were released on bail until 18 February, police confirmed. Detective Inspector Chris Rose stated that officers are working “around the clock” to determine how the man came to be injured. He added, “If you know anything about this incident and you haven’t spoken to us, I encourage you to come forward and help.” For Essex news, follow BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
