Two 17-year-old males have faced court proceedings, charged with the attempted murder of a teenager who sustained stab wounds on an Edinburgh street. Emergency responders were dispatched to Stenhouse Avenue West around 21:00 on Sunday, following reports of a boy being pursued and assaulted by a group of young individuals. The 16-year-old victim remains hospitalized, receiving treatment for his stab wounds. Neither of the individuals accused entered a formal plea, and both were ordered to be held in custody. Their identities cannot be disclosed due to legal restrictions. Police Scotland stated that officers are persisting in pursuing additional promising investigative leads, having earlier indicated that the motive behind the stabbing remained unclear. Detective Sergeant Kim Tennant commented: “We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance with our inquiries into this attack.” Law enforcement personnel have been conducting door-to-door investigations and collecting CCTV recordings from the vicinity.
