Stewart Yetton, Truro City’s assistant manager and record goalscorer, who joined the club’s coaching staff in the summer after manager Paul Wotton moved to Torquay United, stated his approval of his team’s 0-0 draw at Dorking Wanderers. This result, a point that extends Truro’s impressive run to just one defeat in their last 12 matches, maintains their position at the top of the National League South standings. The Tinners will now have a two-week hiatus before their next fixture, having exited the FA Trophy competition. Yetton conveyed to BBC Radio Cornwall, “I think the boys were magnificent, dare I say probably one of our best away performances of the season.” He continued, “We probably had the better chances as well, I’m slightly disappointed not to get all three points.” Yetton added, “But we’d have snapped your hand off for a point pre-game – one of the top sides in the league with probably the biggest budget, so it’s no small feat coming here and getting a point.” Truro City currently holds a one-point lead over Weston-super-Mare, who are in second place, and Torquay United, in third. Dorking Wanderers sit three points further back in sixth position, highlighting the tight competition at the top of the league standings. Yetton further remarked, “We’re 20 games in, you can you can quite easily go on a little bit of a bad run and be way out of it.” He elaborated, “So it’s a testament to the lads we have in the changing room because they’re coming into games like this now and we’re not really having much fear and they’re delivering good performances” He concluded, “We looked like a really solid, strong side there, really difficult to break down and I suppose you’re we have come a long way to be coming here and getting a point and being disappointed not to get all three.” Post navigation Sabalenka Extends Unbeaten Record Against Zheng at WTA Finals Opener Alistair Johnston Extends Celtic Contract Until 2029
