Trial Scheduled for Man Accused of Spalding Murder

A man facing a murder charge in connection with a woman whose body was discovered at her Lincolnshire residence is scheduled to go on trial in May. Kristine Sparane, aged 37, was located at a property situated on Winsover Road, Spalding, around 19:30 GMT on 26 November. Brian Simpson, 64, residing at Nene Court, Spalding, stands accused of murder, and a provisional trial date has been established at Lincoln Crown Court for 19 May 2025. He is expected to appear at the same court on 9 January for a hearing concerning his plea and trial preparation. The 64-year-old individual presented before Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight on Tuesday afternoon through a video link from HMP Nottingham and was subsequently remanded into custody.
