Trial Date Set for Man Accused of Norwich Murder

The trial date has been established for a man facing a murder charge following a fatal stabbing incident. Elvis Vickers, 46, of Mousehold Street, Norwich, appeared before the city’s crown court on Tuesday, participating via video link. He stands accused of the murder of Abdulkadar Chadli, 48, who was discovered with fatal injuries on Mousehold Street at approximately 22:15 GMT on Friday, 1 November. Mr. Vickers, “who spoke only to confirm his name,” was informed that his trial is scheduled for March 2025. He has been remanded in custody. Mr. Chadli was pronounced deceased at the scene. A preliminary post-mortem examination indicated that his death was consistent with a stab wound to the chest. A male individual, 37 years old, who had been apprehended in relation to the stabbing, has been granted bail while further investigations proceed.
