Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou provided comments to BBC Match of the Day following the team’s loss. He described the game as featuring “a lot of stoppages and battles,” noting that the opponents “ended up winning a lot of them and coming out on top.” Postecoglou further explained that “There was a lot of disruption and it was hard to get any fluency. They did better than us.” He added that the match “turned into a game they were thriving on and we should have dealt with it better.” Regarding a specific goal, he stated, “It was a poor goal to concede. It had nothing to do with playing out from the back, that can happen.” Addressing the mood within the team and his own feelings, Postecoglou remarked, “I would be very surprised if they were happy right now. Why would I be happy? If I’m unhappy then they will be unhappy.” He also acknowledged the sentiment of the supporters, concluding, “If you’re suggesting that our fans weren’t happy with today, then that is a fair assessment.”
