Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has identified Dejan Kulusevski’s running as one of his “biggest strengths”. The Swedish international has covered more ground per game than any other player in the Premier League this season, a statistic Postecoglou believes is “no fluke”. During his latest news conference, Postecoglou stated, “It’s a lot of hard work, probably with some genetics in there.” He further elaborated on Kulusevski’s physical attributes, noting, “He just has a real capacity to run at a certain level consistently. His recovery rates are elite. He can go, rest pretty quickly and go again.” Postecoglou also emphasized the mental aspect of the player’s performance: “There’s also that mental strength to do it. I think a lot of players have the capacity but reach a limit when they are tired. He just keeps going. It’s a big part of his football and a big strength of his.” The manager acknowledged the need to manage the player’s workload, adding, “We’ve just got to be mindful of overburdening him, but at the moment he still feels really good.” Concluding his remarks, Postecoglou described Kulusevski’s ambition: “In his mind, he is very ambitious about how good he can be. He’s still a relatively young man and I just have a feeling with him that he will not settle for any level other than the best. He’s got this real laser-eyed focus about how good he can be.” Post navigation Ruben Amorim’s Task: Unleashing Zirkzee’s Distinct Abilities Accrington Stanley Owner Andy Holt to Relinquish Chairman Role
