The States of Guernsey has announced that the first and second place prizes for the Channel Island Christmas Lottery remain unclaimed. The winners of the first prize-winning ticket, valued at £483,795 and issued in Jersey, along with the second place prize of £50,000, issued in Guernsey, have not yet come forward to be identified. This situation follows the 2023 lottery, where a syndicate comprising 40 women in Guernsey secured the top prize, with each member receiving £12,500. Jon Taylor, who serves as the head of lottery for the States of Guernsey, urged the public to “double check their tickets”. He stated: “Participants have 12 months to claim their prize.” Should the prizes remain unclaimed after this timeframe, the funds are then allocated to worthy causes and charities through the Social Investment Fund in Guernsey and the Jersey Community Foundation and Association of Jersey Charities in Jersey.
