A collision involving two vehicles on the A40 in Oxfordshire has left three individuals with serious injuries. Thames Valley Police reported that the incident took place on Sunday at 07:00 GMT, specifically on the westbound carriageway heading towards Oxford, at its intersection with the Thornhill Park and Ride. The police force has issued an appeal for witnesses concerning the crash, which involved a red Toyota Aygo and a black Audi A3. Following the collision, the Oxford-bound section of the A40 and the Thornhill Park and Ride were closed, but both have since been reopened. According to police, the Toyota was moving away from Oxford and attempting to turn right into the park and ride when it collided with the Audi, which was travelling in the direction of Oxford. The driver of the Toyota and two passengers were transported to hospital due to serious injuries.
