Three men have been charged in connection with an alleged scheme to murder an individual who sustained severe injuries during a street shooting. The incident, which occurred on 11 October on Charles Foster Street in Darlaston, West Midlands, resulted in a man in his forties being hospitalized with serious gunshot wounds. Mohammed Ishtiaq, aged 22, Abdullah Amjad, also 22, and Shamus Hussain, 25, presented themselves before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Saturday. They have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear before a judge at Birmingham Crown Court on November 22. Each of the three individuals faces charges of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm with the intent to endanger life. Mr. Amjad is also accused of criminal damage, and Mr. Ishtiaq has two further charges of theft against him. Following the shooting, West Midlands Police stated that additional officers had been deployed to the vicinity to provide reassurance to residents. On Monday, a spokesperson issued a statement, saying: “We are continuing to appeal for witnesses or people with information, especially mobile or dashcam footage.” Reports indicate that the individual who was shot is currently recuperating from his wounds.
