Law enforcement officials have pressed charges against three men subsequent to the recovery of suspected cocaine, valued at approximately £5 million on the street, from a vehicle on the A1(M) motorway and a residential property. An initial arrest occurred on Saturday at approximately 09:00 GMT at Scotch Corner, where 24 kilograms of the illicit substance were discovered during a vehicle stop. Subsequently, an additional 25 kilograms of cocaine were confiscated, and two more individuals were apprehended after a search of a property in Easingwold, North Yorkshire. The three men presented themselves before magistrates in Leeds on Monday and are scheduled to appear at Leeds Crown Court on January 3. Their detention was the result of a collaborative operation involving the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU), West Yorkshire Police, and North Yorkshire Police. Cy Suddick, aged 31, residing at Henfield Way, Easingwold, North Yorkshire, faces a charge of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Oliver Duncan, 20, from Beechburn Crescent, Roby, Merseyside, has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Kevin Robinson, 49, of Childwall Lane, Roby, Merseyside, is charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. Detective Chief Inspector Al Burns of the YHROCU stated that the unit has taken “a firm stand against organised crime with a renewed focus on dismantling the drug supply networks that bring misery to our communities”. He further remarked: “We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of those communities.”
