Three individuals have been taken into custody following an aggravated burglary in Berkshire. Thames Valley Police reported that two men, aged 20 and 25, from Milton Keynes, along with a 28-year-old man from London, were arrested after allegedly breaking into a residence on Halls Road in Reading at approximately 03:50 GMT on Sunday. A man, a woman, and a child were reportedly present at the property during the incident and contacted law enforcement while the perpetrators were still inside. The police force confirmed that the man was attacked and required hospital treatment for a head injury, but has since been discharged. Officers pursued the offenders, who had fled in a light-coloured BMW. The short chase concluded in Portland Gardens, where the arrests were made. Detective Inspector James Jackson described the event as “an extremely frightening experience for the victims.” He further stated, “Offences like this are rare and I want to reassure the public that we have made three arrests and are conducting a thorough investigation.” He appealed to anyone with information to contact the force.
