Three people have been taken into custody following a disturbance in Leeds that resulted in one man being assaulted and another man being stabbed. Police, responding to a report of a disturbance at a property on Hill Crest, Swillington, at approximately 21:14 GMT on Monday, discovered a 53-year-old man with non-serious injuries. A few minutes later, a 26-year-old man was found on Temple Avenue in Rothwell, suffering from stab wounds. Officers from West Yorkshire Police stated that both incidents were subsequently determined to be linked. The two men involved, along with a 25-year-old man also located in Rothwell, have been arrested on charges of assault and wounding. The disturbance at Hill Crest also involved damage being caused to a property and a vehicle. West Yorkshire Police reported that the 53-year-old man injured in the incident was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. A force spokesperson indicated that the 26-year-old stab victim found in Rothwell was transported to a hospital for treatment to injuries described as “serious but not life threatening.” He remains hospitalized and has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage. Officers also confirmed the arrest of a 25-year-old man who was found with the stab victim in Rothwell. The force has appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward and stated that a linked scene has been established in Wakefield Road as the investigation proceeds.
