An investigation into a murder has commenced following the discovery of a man found injured, who subsequently died, in the vicinity of retail establishments. Emergency services were dispatched to The Rows in Harlow, Essex, after the individual was located around 21:15 GMT on Wednesday, but he was declared deceased at the scene. Police have taken three men into custody, aged 43, 44, and 61, on suspicion of murder; they remained detained as of Thursday. Detective Inspector Stewart Eastbrook stated: “Our investigation is in the early stages but our initial assessment is that his death is suspicious.” Authorities have established a cordon around the entry to a derelict unit within a retail complex. Det Insp Eastbrook further commented: “My thoughts today are with the family and friends of the man who has died.” He added that “Specialist officers and staff are carrying out a range of inquiries to build a picture of what led up to this man’s death and you are likely to see a police presence in the area.” Alexander Conway, a resident of Harlow for four decades, informed the BBC at the location that the vicinity had “gone down hill.” Another individual shopping in the area conveyed to the BBC that the sight of a police cordon was a frequent occurrence.
