Three men have been apprehended following the death of an individual who was fatally shot inside a vehicle in Birmingham. Raad Asmael was pronounced deceased at the scene on Rotton Park Road, at the junction of City Road in Edgbaston, approximately at 23:00 GMT on 22 November. West Midlands Police announced that a 24-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Additionally, two men, aged 25 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Raad, 27, was remembered by his family in a tribute released by police last month, describing him as a “beloved” husband, father, son, and brother. Detective Chief Inspector Laura Harrison stated: “Our investigation is progressing, and we have updated Raad’s family with news of the arrests.” She further emphasized: “It’s still really important that we hear from anyone with information about what might have happened or why.” Any individuals who witnessed the murder are encouraged to come forward and contact the police.
