Three individuals suspected of shoplifting, who are alleged to have stolen clothing subsequently hidden in a baby’s pushchair, have been taken into custody. Kent Police reported that the women, originating from Croydon in south London, had traveled to Tunbridge Wells and were apprehended on December 17. Merchandise valued at over £300 was reportedly stolen from a TK Maxx store situated on Longfield Road. The goods are said to have had their security tags removed before being concealed in an empty pushchair. The police force stated it was alerted around 13:00 GMT after security personnel at the retail establishment detained one of the suspects. Kent Police further indicated that officers conducted searches in other nearby retail areas, successfully locating and detaining the remaining women. A vehicle linked to the suspects was also found, and additional suspicious items were seized from it, according to police. All three individuals were processed into custody and later released on bail, with the condition that they must return to a police station in January.
