Johannes Hoff Thorup, Norwich City’s head coach, has observed a reduction in the team’s extensive injury list. This week, Onel Hernandez scored for Cuba during international duty. The Canaries, as Norwich City is known, have experienced three consecutive defeats in their recent Championship fixtures and are scheduled to face fifth-placed West Bromwich Albion this Saturday. During a pre-match press conference, Thorup stated, “It’s looking better, slowly we are getting there.” He further explained that the return of “Ashley Barnes, Liam Gibbs, Onel Hernandez and Christian Fassnacht are all back which creates a different scenario leading into the games because we have options and more players available.” The Norwich manager also received positive news regarding the comeback of goalkeeper Angus Gunn. Gunn had been absent for the previous six matches due to a rib injury sustained during the 4-0 victory against Hull City in October. Thorup commented on Gunn’s return, saying, “He’s an important player for us and before the injury he was performing at a high level so it was not good for anyone to have the injury so it’s good to have him back.”
