A total of six high-value vehicles were stolen from a garage forecourt following an incident where thieves forced entry into the office and removed all keys from a safe. The burglary occurred at Atherstone Garage, located in Atherstone, Warwickshire, during the early hours of Monday morning, with staff members making the discovery. Adam Reid, the sales manager, confirmed that the stolen vehicles comprised three BMWs, a Volkswagen, and an Audi, characterizing the break-in as “an awful situation”. Warwickshire Police have been contacted by the BBC for a statement regarding the incident. Personnel at the garage suspect that the perpetrators specifically targeted more expensive cars, leaving behind vehicles of lower value on the forecourt. Efforts are underway by staff to secure the vehicles that were not taken, given that the corresponding keys are still unaccounted for. A spokesperson for the garage stated, “Police have been informed and CCTV footage being studied.” For more updates from BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, connect via BBC Sounds, Facebook, X, and Instagram.
