The Wanted’s Max George Hospitalized with Cardiac “Issues”

Max George, a member of the boyband The Wanted, has disclosed that he will be spending Christmas in hospital after medical examinations revealed he has “some issues” with his heart. The 36-year-old shared an image on Instagram depicting himself giving a thumbs-up from a hospital bed, stating that he was admitted on Wednesday after experiencing feeling “really unwell.” He did not specify the nature of his health concerns but indicated that he is awaiting “a lot more tests to determine the extent of the problems” and “what surgery I will need.” “Although this is a huge shock and no doubt a set back, it’s something I’ll take on with all I’ve got,” he said. The singer, also known for his participation in Strictly Come Dancing, mentioned that the upcoming period would be a “difficult few weeks/months,” adding that “Christmas in a hospital bed wasn’t exactly what I had planned.” He further noted that he is “surrounded with love and support” from his “wonderful” partner, actress Maisie Smith, as well as his family and friends. “I count myself very lucky that this was caught when it was,” he said.
