Three teenage boys have been taken into custody regarding a sequence of assaults targeting cyclists earlier this month. Detectives from Avon and Somerset Police have identified a total of 13 incidents in Bristol. These incidents involved “two or three riders on one moped pushing or trying to push cyclists off their bike.” Reports of these incidents originated from the south and east areas of the city, with most occurring on Feeder Road. Additionally, one alleged sexual assault was reported in the adjacent Netham Park. In an official statement, police confirmed: “Two boys aged 16 and 14 were arrested last week and are on police bail while the investigation continues, a 15-year-old boy arrested earlier this week is also on police bail.” The entirety of these incidents occurred between Tuesday, December 3, and Saturday, December 7, with no further reports emerging since that period. While most victims sustained minor injuries such as cuts and bruises, one man pushed from his bicycle on Feeder Road suffered a broken collar bone. A woman also sustained fractures to her fingers. These arrests are part of an active and ongoing investigation, and law enforcement officials believe all the assaults are connected. Authorities have urged anyone possessing relevant information to come forward and contact them.
