Teenager Threatened with Knife in Attempted Bike Robbery

North Yorkshire Police have reported that a teenager was threatened at knifepoint by three males who attempted to steal his bicycle. The individuals are believed to have approached the boy, who was riding an electric bike, in Woodfield Park, Bilton, Harrogate, at approximately 14:00 GMT on Wednesday. The boy faced a knife threat, and the males tried to compel him to surrender the bike. However, a passer-by intervened, leading the suspects to flee instead with the teenager’s mobile phone. Detective Inspector Mark Stamper appealed for anyone in the area with information or with CCTV or doorbell footage from the time of the incident to get in touch, stating: “This is a concerning incident and a full investigation is under way.” He further added: “We have conducted house to house inquiries close to where the incident happened and are working hard to try and identify the suspects.”
