Police in Warwickshire have reported the death of a teenager following a car accident where a vehicle, described as travelling “at speed”, veered off the road and overturned. Law enforcement personnel responded to the scene of a solo-vehicle collision involving a grey Porsche Macan on Banbury Road in Gaydon. The incident occurred at 02:15 GMT on Saturday. Warwickshire Police confirmed that the vehicle’s driver, identified as a boy in his late teens, succumbed to his injuries at the crash site. Subsequent to the event, a 27-year-old male resident of Temple Herdewyke was taken into custody. He faces charges related to suspected use, cause, or permit offences as defined by the Road Traffic Act. Officers also noted that a passenger present in the car sustained no significant injuries. Authorities are requesting that any witnesses or individuals possessing dashcam or CCTV footage from approximately the time of the collision contact them. The police force additionally advised the public against distributing any footage of the incident on social media platforms.
