A young person has been taken into custody following the discovery of mutilated fox remains on a residential street. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to Springbank Road in Cheltenham on December 11, after a member of the public reported finding the deceased animal. A 17-year-old male, who resides in Cheltenham, was apprehended on Saturday, December 21. He is suspected of committing animal welfare offenses and outraging public decency. After being interviewed by police, he was released on bail under the condition that he does not possess any animal other than his family’s dog. Gloucestershire Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them by calling 101.
