Teenager Apprehended Following Suspected Playground Arsons in Hull

A 16-year-old individual has been taken into custody in connection with three suspected arson incidents at park playgrounds in Hull. Humberside Police initiated an investigation after occurrences on Sunday at Alderman Kneeshaw Park and Bellfield Avenue. An additional incident subsequently took place at East Park on Wednesday. Officers later indicated they were reviewing CCTV footage, as playground equipment sustained significant damage. Humberside Fire and Rescue confirmed that no injuries were reported. On Facebook, the Love Parks Hull page, which is operated by Hull City Council, announced that the playground at East Park would be closed until late on Friday afternoon due to “the essential removal of a damaged unit that was destroyed.” Humberside Police is appealing to anyone possessing information regarding these incidents to contact them by dialing 101.
