Teenager, 17, apprehended in attempted murder inquiry

Authorities have taken a 17-year-old male into custody on suspicion of attempted murder following an assault on a man in Southampton. The victim, an 18-year-old, was discovered in Hill Lane around 01:10 GMT on Sunday, suffering severe injuries to his back and wrist, which are believed to have been inflicted by a knife. According to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, he remains hospitalized in a serious but stable state. The Southampton resident, a boy, is still being held by the police. Law enforcement personnel have cordoned off sections of Hill Lane and Milton Road as their investigation proceeds.
