Law enforcement officials are investigating an incident in which two 16-year-old girls became unwell after a masked stranger approached them and inserted a substance described as a “sweet” into their mouths. The male individual confronted the teenagers in Bushey, Hertfordshire, compelling them to ingest the unknown material and striking one of them in the face. Both adolescents received medical evaluation at a hospital following the occurrence in Park Avenue at 19:15 GMT on Thursday, which coincided with Halloween. The individual who confronted the girls was described as white, approximately 6 feet (1.83 meters) tall with a slender physique. Detective Constable Gemma Haines commented: “I understand that this incident has caused concern among the local community. “I’d like to reassure people that thorough inquiries are being carried out to establish exactly what happened and how the girls came to be unwell.” Investigators reported conducting door-to-door inquiries, examining surveillance footage, and interviewing prospective witnesses.
