Luke Williams, Swansea City’s head coach, has characterized Gareth Jennings as “very capable” following the emergence of the UAE Pro League’s technical director as a potential candidate for the vacant sporting director position at the club. Jennings, an Englishman, has a professional history that includes work with Fifa and New Zealand Football. He has also held academy roles at Bristol City, Leicester City, and Stoke City, alongside a technical advisor post at Grimsby Town. He is understood to be one of the individuals under consideration as Swansea aims to find a successor for Paul Watson, who departed the Championship club in October. Swansea head coach Williams remarked, “I don’t know so much, other than that he (Jennings) is someone who is very capable with a good reputation.” Williams also indicated the ongoing nature of the search, stating, “I think there’s probably still a number of people on the shortlist. Whoever we decide is going to be the right person will be exactly that, I am sure.” He expressed confidence in the eventual selection, adding, “I am very confident it’s going to be the right person to represent this club in the way it should be represented and I am excited for that.” Post navigation Wales Number Eights Wainwright and Faletau Set for Clash Guardiola Addresses Manchester City’s Fragility
