Storm Darragh caused power disruptions for hundreds of properties as it moved across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Northern Powergrid reported that it managed over 120,000 power failures throughout the weekend. North East Lincolnshire Council confirmed the initiation of a clean-up operation. The council stated that its personnel had operated “around the clock” following winds of approximately 60mph (96km/h), which led to toppled trees and electricity outages in certain rural areas. Northern Powergrid indicated that its welfare support teams were deployed to the most impacted communities, offering hot meals and supplementary assistance. As of Monday, over 15 flood alerts continued to be active, covering locations such as Holderness Drain, near Hull, Lincoln, and near Grantham.
