Stoke-on-Trent Fatal House Fire Declared Accidental by Investigators

Investigators have concluded that a deadly house fire in Stoke-on-Trent was accidental. The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service received calls reporting a fire at a residence located on Pennyfields Avenue, off Westport Lake Road in Tunstall, on December 17 at approximately 8:30 PM GMT. An elderly woman, in her 80s, was confirmed deceased at the scene. The fire service collaborated with Staffordshire Police to ascertain the origin of the fire. Both organizations conveyed their sympathies to the family of the deceased woman.
