Stoke City captain Ben Gibson, who has participated in all 14 of the team’s Championship fixtures this season, expressed his belief that their developing squad is acquiring the ability to secure victories through diverse methods. The Potters are aiming for a third consecutive win as they prepare to host an in-form Millwall side on Saturday. This follows a period where they had not achieved a victory in their preceding four Championship encounters under Narcis Pelach. “We’re young, we’re inexperienced – it’s about know-how and finding a way (to win),” Gibson communicated to BBC Radio Stoke. He further stated, “We want to play free flowing football and for every night to be like Portsmouth at home was but that’s not going to be the case.” Gibson transferred to the bet365 Stadium from Norwich City during the summer, a club where Pelach had a brief tenure as first-team coach. “We know that this squad is growing and learning and it’s becoming really enjoyable, ” Gibson commented. He concluded by saying, “It’s been a really good week and we can make it an excellent week if we win that game but Millwall are going really well and it’s a tough game.”
