Staffordshire Police have successfully recovered stolen plant machinery with an estimated value of £60,000. The recovered items include an excavator and a dumper truck, each valued at approximately £30,000. These vehicles were originally taken from a construction site in Burton-on-Trent during February. Officers located the machinery on Saturday while conducting a search at an address situated near Burton Road in Stapenhill. A spokesperson for the force stated that 80% of Staffordshire is rural. They further noted that law enforcement personnel are concentrating their efforts on targeting individuals involved in rural criminal activities, which encompass offences related to agriculture, equine, wildlife, and heritage.
