A unique opportunity for men to address loneliness and their overall wellbeing will be available on International Men’s Day, utilizing a specially designated bus. The ‘Chatty Bus’ is scheduled to be at Norwich Bus Station between 10:00 and 14:00 GMT. During this time, a group of specialists will be on hand to provide information about local support services. This initiative was developed by Konnectbus, in collaboration with Walking with the Wounded and Prostate Cancer UK. Davina Langley, who serves as the head of commercial and marketing for the parent company Go East Anglia, stated: “Projects like the Chatty Bus are invaluable for our local communities, particularly for those living in rural areas.” She further explained that buses offer a “platform for conversations.” Langley added, “For some, the only time they see other people may be when they use public transport.” She concluded by saying, “By providing people with the opportunity to have meaningful conversations and connections with someone on the bus, we hope to alleviate loneliness.” Updates on Norfolk news are available via BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
