This week’s collection of notable photographs from Somerset features the onset of autumn, a blaze affecting 20 vehicles, and the renowned Bridgwater Carnival. Regarding the Carnival: Thousands gathered in Bridgwater to experience the excitement and ambiance of the United Kingdom’s longest-running carnival. Swimming for Pudsey: The BBC Radio Somerset team successfully completed their 24-mile swimming segment for the BBC Children in Need’s Thousand Mile Swim challenge, held at Chard Leisure Centre. Pudsey was present for the event but did not participate in the swimming. Dramatic Fire: On Wednesday, firefighters responded to and addressed a significant fire that involved 20 automobiles at a yard situated in Blagdon, North Somerset. Hedgehogs: A hedgehog family is reportedly recovering favorably after being admitted to Secret World Wildlife Rescue following damage to their nest.
