A Solihull couple has been reunited with their dogs, which had been feared permanently lost following the theft of their vehicle and trailer. On Sunday, at approximately 14:20 GMT, Tina Kazmi’s partner, Andy, was delivering hay with their five dogs when his Land Rover was stolen in Wythall, Worcestershire. That same Sunday night, three of the Jack Russells, who had been inside the trailer, were discovered in the middle of a road, appearing traumatised and impeding traffic flow. A fourth dog was subsequently located by a veterinarian. The final dog, Tink, a German shepherd, along with the stolen car, was recovered on Monday evening. Ms. Kazmi informed the BBC that Tink had been the couple’s primary concern due to her being the youngest and consistently staying close to her owners. “We were besides ourselves, worrying about where she is and what they’ve done with her or what people’s intentions are,” she stated. She added, “She goes everywhere with my partner, if she’s not in the car she’ll be out with him in the tractor.” Regarding their disappearance on Sunday afternoon, Ms. Kazmi mentioned that a veterinarian in Wythall located one dog, which was “shook up and quiet distressed.” The remaining three Jack Russells were left in the middle of the road in Aspley Heath, Solihull, reportedly too frightened to move. Ms. Kazmi recounted, “It was coincidental a friend had overheard a woman talking about some dogs which wouldn’t move out of the road, he went right over and managed to move them and get them back to us.” She characterized the dogs as “quieter, reserved and very tired” since their return home.
