Regions across the East of England have experienced snowfall as the initial winter cold snap has arrived. The most substantial snow accumulations have been observed in Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire, particularly on higher elevations. Snow has also settled in Norfolk and Essex. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the area, indicating challenging travel conditions expected from Tuesday evening, through the night, and into Wednesday morning. These conditions have led to the closure of Grendon Underwood Combined School in Buckinghamshire. Additionally, Greater Anglia train services between Kennett and Cambridge are facing delays due to signalling issues.
