Snow Patrol has been confirmed as the newest act slated to perform at a series of forest concerts next summer. Forestry England announced on Friday that the Northern Irish band, widely recognized for their 2006 hit “Chasing Cars,” is scheduled to play at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire on 17 June 2025. Rhodri Jones, national events programme manager at Forestry England, stated: “We’re incredibly excited to add Snow Patrol to our line-up. The band released their UK Number One album The Forest Is The Path this year, so they are perfectly matched to play here with us.” Snow Patrol is one of several headlining acts for the Forest Live 2025 events, which will be held at four forest venues across England. Other headliners include Sting, The Script, Elbow, Blossoms, James, and Rag’N’Bone Man. The band Snow Patrol, comprising Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, and Johnny McDaid, was formed in Dundee in 1994. Their major-label debut album, “Final Straw,” was released in 2003 and achieved five-times platinum status. Forest Live 2025 will also take place at Cannock Chase Forest, Delamere Forest, and High Lodge, Thetford Forest. Forestry England oversees 1,500 forests and woodlands throughout the country, and the revenue generated from these shows contributes to their conservation efforts. Mr Jones added: “Forest Live is presented in the heart of our nation’s forests and raises vital funds for the work that we do to preserve and maintain these natural areas for everyone to enjoy.” In 2023, Forestry England planted 7.4 million trees, and over the past 23 years, more than two million people have attended the Forest Live gigs. Tickets for Forest Live 2025 will go on sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday, 15 November. For updates, follow BBC Gloucestershire on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
