Six people have been arrested after a man suffered a suspected stab wound in Plymouth, police said. Devon and Cornwall Police reported that they were called to Basket Ope, near the Barbican, on Thursday at about 17:40 GMT following reports of a group of men “shouting and making threats” towards each other. The force further stated that the ambulance service later reported a man had been assaulted nearby. He was taken to Derriford Hospital where he was treated for a “suspected stab wound,” police said. The force indicated his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, and enquiries remained ongoing. It said a 27-year-old woman, a 46-year-old man, and a 50-year-old man, all from Plymouth, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. It said a 37-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a Class A drug. A 40-year-old man from Northern Ireland has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, it said. The force added a man, aged 30, of no fixed abode had been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and criminal damage. Police said: “All suspects remain in police custody at this time.
