A principal access route into a Cornish town, along with an adjacent road, is scheduled for a seven-week closure to allow for work on a wall. Cornwall Council announced that efforts to stabilize a wall located next to Polperro Road in West Looe are slated to begin on Monday and are expected to continue until 20 December. The council stated that this work is essential following a landslide on the road earlier this year, and the closure will also impact North Road for the same duration. A diversion route has been established around the affected areas, and school buses will still be granted access to the route at specific times of the day, the council further noted.
