Law enforcement has taken seven ponies from a field following reports regarding their health and overall state. Officers from the Dorset Police rural crime team, accompanied by representatives from the RSPCA and World Horse Welfare charity, inspected the ponies in West Dorset on Tuesday. Following a veterinary evaluation, police stated that all seven animals were seized under the Animal Welfare Act “to prevent unnecessary suffering.” Authorities confirmed that the ponies are currently receiving necessary care and treatment, and an investigation into the matter is continuing.
