Selby War Memorial Hospital has recommenced operations after being compelled to close due to a lack of heating and hot water. The facility temporarily ceased services on Friday, leading to the relocation of patients to other sites. A spokesperson for the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust indicated that the issues were attributable to a “technical fault” with a boiler. The trust spokesperson affirmed, “The problems experienced have since been resolved and services to the site fully reinstated.” They added, “While the building was safe, to ensure we could continue to provide safe care and comfort for our inpatients, we safely relocated them to other community hospital sites, where they will remain.” The spokesperson advised that anyone with an appointment at the hospital should attend as scheduled unless they had been contacted to rearrange. The statement concluded with an expression of thanks: “Thank you to our staff who have worked incredibly hard to resolve the issues, and to our patients for their patience and understanding.” Post navigation East Sussex Day Centre Closure Plans Spark User Concern England’s Hospices to Receive £100 Million Funding for End-of-Life Care
