The death toll has risen to two following an incident where a vehicle, transporting four individuals, departed a carriageway and collided with a tree. Norfolk Police reported that officers on patrol discovered the black Mini One on the southbound A11 near Ketteringham at approximately 05:15 GMT on Sunday. The driver, a woman in her 30s, was transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in a critical state and passed away on Tuesday. A female passenger in her 20s, who was in the rear of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed while emergency services, including the air ambulance, responded, and it was reopened around 11:30. Two other passengers, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and are currently in a stable condition in hospital. The police force appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner in which the Mini was being driven prior to the incident to come forward. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, according to the force.
