Concerns have emerged regarding a potential second bird flu case in Norfolk, coming less than a week after the disease’s initial confirmation in the area. The Animal and Plant Health Agency, a government body, was informed on Monday of the potential discovery of highly pathogenic avian influenza at a site situated near Watton. To err on the side of caution, all poultry at the location will be culled, and exclusion zones spanning 3km (nearly two miles) and 10km (about six miles) have been implemented as further tests proceed. This situation arises after the same influenza was detected at another premises near Watton on 5 December, an event that likewise led to the destruction of birds to halt the flu’s propagation. An agency spokesperson advised: “All bird keepers should remain vigilant and follow stringent biosecurity measures to prevent future outbreaks.” Post navigation Hampshire to Host Suicide Awareness Relay in 2025 Patient Hopes for Lupus Remission Following “Rollercoaster” Treatment
