Hearts, meanwhile, will travel to face Brechin City, the leaders of the Highland League. Championship leaders Falkirk, who secured a 3-1 victory against East Kilbride on Monday evening, are now set to encounter league rivals Raith Rovers. Musselburgh Athletic, from the East of Scotland Premier Division, will visit Hamilton Accies. Lowland League club Broxburn Athletic has been drawn for a home match against Ayr United. These fourth-round encounters are scheduled to be contested on the weekend of January 18-19. The complete list of fourth-round fixtures includes: Dumbarton v Airdrieonians Cove Rangers v Forfar Athletic Dundee v Dundee United Dunfermline Athletic v Stenhousemuir Falkirk v Raith Rovers St Johnstone v Motherwell Queen’s Park v Montrose Ross County v Livingston Hibernian v Clydebank Rangers v Fraserburgh Brechin City v Hearts Queen of the South v St Mirren Hamilton Academical v Musselburgh Athletic Elgin City v Aberdeen Broxburn Athletic v Ayr United Celtic v Kilmarnock The draw itself was conducted by former Scotland forward Steven Naismith, who previously won the trophy with Rangers in 2009, at East Kilbride’s K-Park. The manager of Fraserburgh described the prospect of playing against Rangers as “a bit surreal”. Cowie conveyed to BBC Radio Scotland’s Good Morning Scotland that, “It’s something many, many at our level only dream of.” He added, “We’ve got quite a few in the club who are Rangers supporters, so for them it truly is a dream come true, but we’re just humbled to have been given this opportunity. Like I said, just to be in the draw, but to pull out a tie such as that one it’s going to be incredible.” He further stated, “It’ll be rewarding in so many ways, obviously financially, it’ll be great for a club and give us a boost during these difficult times, but also in terms of memories, this tie will create for players, supporters and the like. It’s truly got to be a great occasion for the club.” With approximately seven weeks remaining until the match at Ibrox, Cowie indicated that Fraserburgh will “have to try and keep a lid on it,” given that Highland League and Aberdeenshire Shield games are scheduled to occur beforehand. He elaborated, “The Rangers game is a bit away yet, we’ve got some league games and cup games that we want to do well in beforehand.” Cowie continued, “We haven’t been together since, so there will be a bit of excitement, but we’ve got a good group, so hopefully we’ll manage to focus on tonight’s game [against Keith] and put the Rangers game to the side slightly.”
