School Closed for Second Day Due to Gas Leak

A primary school and its adjacent preschool have been closed for a second consecutive day following a gas leak. Personnel at New Milton Infant School, situated on Lymington Road in New Milton, identified the leak on Thursday prior to the commencement of classes. Engineers from SGN have isolated the compromised gas pipe serving both the school and Little Learners pre-school, resulting in a lack of heating and hot water. The gas company confirmed that repair work to substitute the pipe is currently in progress. The institution announced that arrangements for remote learning have been established for its students, who are aged four to seven. Via a statement published on its official website, the school communicated its expectation to “open as usual on Monday.”
