Saka Reflects on Arsenal’s Draw, Citing Incomplete Performance

Arsenal forward and goalscorer Bukayo Saka has provided comments to Sky Sports regarding the recent draw: “Disappointed, credit to Liverpool. We feel like we didn’t play the full 90 minutes.” Reflecting on the match, Saka commented on the two halves, stating: “First-half, we showed our qualities and gave them nothing and they scored from a set-piece. I can’t think of another chance they had. “Second-half, we weren’t at our best. They had more momentum, won more duels, kept more possession, naturally momentum goes to them and we have to defend.” Addressing the absence of Gabriel, Saka stated: “He is a big player for us but it is not an excuse. We have to adapt and do our best whoever is on the pitch.” Regarding his return to scoring form, he remarked: “I tried to keep the goalkeeper guessing. I think it was a nice finish. I’m feeling good. I thought I could finish the game, but gaffer took me off.”
