Blackburn Rovers midfielder Ryan Hedges has stated that the team’s current strong performance will be futile unless they sustain their effort to secure promotion. The Rovers are set to face Luton in Saturday’s Championship fixture, having achieved a five-game winning streak that has elevated them to fifth position in the league standings. Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, Hedges remarked, “We’ve been in this position before since I’ve been at this club and it came to nothing so we know that it means nothing at this moment in time.” He added, “Most of the squad has been here and experienced the highs and lows so we have to learn from that.” Last season, Blackburn Rovers concluded the term in 19th place after securing only three victories in their final 16 games, despite being seventh midway through the season. However, Hedges expressed confidence that the team is better equipped this season, citing the presence of more experienced individuals within the squad. He further commented, “We’re in a much better place with the squad depth.” Hedges elaborated on the change in team dynamics, stating, “This time last year I was the oldest player in the changing room at 28 whereas now I’m in the middle of the pack, which is what you would find in most dressing rooms.” Post navigation Slot Reflects on Liverpool’s Performance, Citing Lack of Open Play Dominance Chelsea and Arsenal: Player Performance Ahead of Premier League Clash
