An appeal for witnesses has been issued by the RSPCA following the death of a seagull, which was reportedly killed after being repeatedly stamped upon. The incident occurred in Blackpool, Lancashire, specifically in the Springfield Road vicinity, around 12:17 GMT on Tuesday. According to the charity, a man was observed allegedly kicking at a group of gulls, resulting in one becoming trapped beneath his foot and subsequently dying. In connection with their investigation, the RSPCA has released a CCTV image of an individual present in the area at the time, whom they wish to interview. RSPCA inspector Daniel Tomlinson stated: “We’ve received sad reports of a gull allegedly being stamped on in Blackpool and we’d like to establish what happened.” He added: “We’re keen to speak to this man as we believe he may have important information for us which will help with our enquiries.”
