A district council has announced that a car park located in a Derbyshire village will undergo a partial closure due to ongoing water infrastructure improvements. Severn Trent will utilize a section of the Old Station Close site in Rowsley as a compound while conducting crucial operations to replace waste water mains. According to Derbyshire Dales District Council, Severn Trent’s work is scheduled to commence on January 6 and is expected to continue for a duration of six weeks. The council confirmed that the remaining portion of the car park will remain accessible as usual. This follows a recent instance where Severn Trent exercised its statutory powers to request the complete closure of the Matlock Lido car park, which has since reopened.
