A segment of a dual carriageway in Nottinghamshire was shut down due to a lorry fire, leading to traffic delays. Police reported that a heavy goods vehicle, while in motion, caught fire on the A453 southbound, in Clifton, at approximately 11:25 GMT on Tuesday. Nottinghamshire Police confirmed that the occupants of the vehicle were unharmed. The force advised motorists to avoid the affected area and to use alternative travel routes. The southbound portion of the road, located between the A52 and J24 of the M1, was reopened to traffic shortly after 21:00 GMT.
