A road located near a train station has been closed after a crash between a cyclist and a car. Emergency services were called to Basildon, Essex, following a serious collision at the junction of Southernhay and Station Way. An Essex Police spokesperson stated that a “significant” emergency service response was still present at the scene, and a road closure remained in place. Police advised the public to avoid the area where possible and urged anyone with information related to the incident to contact them.
